Building Hope: How Charles is Helping to Fix Alzheimer’s

Video Poster

Charles has seen Alzheimer’s disease claim the lives of his mother, three aunts, and an uncle. He knows the toll it takes, not only on those living with the disease, but also on the families forced to watch their loved ones slip away. “It’s heart wrenching, and there’s not a darn thing that you can do about it,” he reflects.

As a longtime builder, Charles is used to fixing what’s broken. But with Alzheimer’s, he found himself powerless—unable to reach for a tool to make things right. That changed when a friend told him about a clinical trial. It was a chance to do something, to contribute to research that could lead to real solutions—not just for others, but maybe for himself as well.

This is Charles’s story: a deeply personal look at why he chose to participate in an Alzheimer’s clinical trial and the power of hope in the face of so much loss.
