Community Screening Program

Our Community Screening Program helps make reaching diverse and underrepresented populations a reality. Through partnerships with community leaders and local screening events, we help more communities gain access to research studies while helping sponsors reach their enrollment goals sooner.

How Future of Medicine Makes Research Studies More Accessible

The Future of Medicine program promotes health education, provides complimentary health screenings, and streamlines access to research studies that address the specific health needs of the community.

Awareness

First, Future of Medicine Members learn about the program through local community organizations, healthcare providers, news media, or online sources.

FutureHealth ScreeningTM

Each Future of Medicine Member gives their informed consent to participate in clinical research, gets screened, and receives a detailed health screening report and consultation from a trained professional.

Education

Members become well-informed about clinical research and the importance of their participation through regular communication and educational updates. We build trusted, long-term relationships with our Members.

Clinical Trial Opportunities

Because we pre-screen for key eligibility criteria and keep Members engaged with clinical research, we are able to refer them to clinical trials they are likely to be eligible for and motivated to participate in.

Advocacy

Our model fosters a sense of community and advocacy. Future of Medicine Ambassadors and Members actively refer friends and family, enhancing the reach and impact of our program to help build a healthier future for all.

Spotlight: Heart & Kidney Health Screenings

From January - April 2024, Care Access offered 63 multi-day screenings within communities, and 25 site-based screening locations across 44 cities.

Members learned about their own health and numerous cardiometabolic studies, including Lp(a).

More Communities Should Have Access to Clinical Research

Through our sustained support for grassroots organizations and local healthcare providers, Future of Medicine understands and adapts to the unique health needs of each community.

People of different ethnicities, ancestries, and socioeconomic backgrounds may react differently to medical treatments, so clinical trials need to be representative of the populations they aim to treat. Increasing representation requires a multi-faceted approach grounded on meaningful partnerships in underrepresented communities.

Community Partnerships for Any Population

We connect with local organizations that share the common goal of improving the health of their communities. These relationships increase awareness of, and access to, clinical trials benefiting both current and future generations.

  • Senior-living communities
  • Long-term care facilities
  • Faith-based organizations
  • Colleges and universities, including HBCUs
  • Community centers
  • Minority group associations
  • Service organizations
  • Parks and recreation organizations
  • Gyms and fitness centers
