Dr. Irving Loh: Understanding Cholesterol and Lp(a)

Dr.Irving Loh

Lipoprotein(a), or Lp(a), is a lesser-known type of cholesterol that is similar to LDL ("bad") cholesterol. High levels of Lp(a) can increase one's risk of heart attack and stroke, but currently there is no approved medication for lowering Lp(a). Recent advancements in clinical research have the potential to change that.

Dr. Irving Loh is a cardiologist with long-established expertise in clinical research focused on the prevention of cardiovascular disease and improvement of patient care. Dr. Loh has been a principal investigator on over 160 cardiometabolic clinical trials, and is now a Senior Consultant and Principal Investigator for Care Access.
