Shouping joined the Future of Medicine program in Houston, TX to get a better understanding of her health as she focuses on aging well. At 56 years old, she believes it’s never too late to start paying closer attention to your health and to learn how to take better care of yourself.

“Life is not really based on how long you’re here, it’s how healthy and happy you are,” Shouping shares, emphasizing the goal of living pain-free.

She also believes clinical research is the key to making life better for future generations: “Clinical research is really important so they can come up with new drugs or a new way to treat people, to make it much easier for the future generation,” she says.
