In every community, you’ll meet someone who goes out of their way to advocate for the health and wellbeing of those around them. In Clarkston, Georgia—one of the most diverse cities in the U.S.—that person is Beneta Davis. Driven by her desire to raise awareness about health issues, particularly within communities of color, Beneta connected with Care Access and became a Future of Medicine Ambassador.
When she learned that Care Access offers community-based health screenings at no cost, she immediately recognized the potential to help others—especially those without easy access to healthcare services. But to truly make a lasting difference in her community, Beneta knew that more people would need to be aware that this resource is available.

So Beneta made it her mission to spread the word about the Future of Medicine program, striking up conversations and encouraging people to take control of their own health. “It is important that we take charge of our health,” she says. “And when we have a chance to be able to take part in something that doesn’t cost us anything, but we gain a lot, it’s needed.”
Beneta’s commitment as a Future of Medicine Ambassador is an inspiring lesson on how reaching out to others can open doors to a better future.
