When Reverend Dr. Kwasi Thornell learned about the Future of Medicine program, he immediately saw it as a valuable opportunity for his community at the Church of Atonement in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. He has always been deeply committed to the well-being of his community—especially the elderly population his church serves.

Providing easy, no-cost health screenings for seniors was one of the most important steps he has taken in helping his church members stay proactive about their health. For Rev. Thornell, this partnership with Care Access not only addresses a vital need but also aligns with his church’s mission to help people live longer, healthier lives. “As a church, if we can help people live fuller lives, we’re fulfilling our calling. This program is a part of that mission,” he explains.

Rev. Thornell encourages other community organizations to consider similar partnerships. The large turnout of people taking advantage of the health screening opportunity confirmed that the program provides a valuable service in the community.
