Care Access and Walmart have joined forces to open new clinical research and health screening locations, operated by Care Access and located in Walmart stores across the U.S.
Together, we’re working to improve the future of health for all by making cutting-edge clinical trial opportunities and health screenings easier to access, so people who’ve historically been left out of research finally have real options.

Clinical trials are crucial for advancing medicine. They give us the evidence we need to ensure that new treatments are safe and effective before they are approved for widespread use.
Without clinical trials, we wouldn’t have the vaccines, medicines, or medical devices that are available today.
Every clinical trial relies on people to volunteer. Without their participation, medical advancements would be significantly delayed or remain unavailable.

Health screenings that can open doors to research
Each research location, operated by Care Access, also offers health screenings for serious risk factors linked to conditions such as Alzheimer’s, heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, and more.
If you’re eligible, you may receive a set of essential medical tests including advanced tests not typically available at regular check-ups with your doctor.
We’ll provide your test results, with clear explanations of what they mean.
If we find a clinical trial that may be a good fit for you, we’ll tell you about it and give you the opportunity to learn more. Clinical trial participation is always optional.
Health screenings may include:

Measures tau protein linked to Alzheimer’s disease risk

Lp(a)
Measures an inherited type of cholesterol that can increase the risk of heart disease

Platelet Count
Measures platelets important for clotting and liver health

Hemoglobin A1c
Shows average blood sugar levels over 3 months

Creatinine/eGFR
Estimates how well the kidneys filter blood and overall kidney function

Liver function tests
Shows how well your liver is working and screens for signs of liver disease

hsCRP
Detects low-grade inflammation linked to heart disease

Lipid panel
Measures cholesterol and triglycerides (a type of fat) in the blood

Eosinophils
Measures allergy-related white blood cells
