Dr. Peta-Gay Jackson Booth: Innovating To Help Communities Access Clinical Research
Peta-Gay Jackson Booth, MD is an internal medicine physician and Principal Investigator for Care Access. Hear about her journey to becoming part of the Care Access team, where she is fulfilling her passion for enhancing access to health services and clinical trials for underrepresented communities.
One of the ways she is helping make health resources available to communities is through the Future of Medicine program. She explains, “The idea of Future of Medicine is to go into communities and provide basic screening for some of the metabolic diseases that are particularly in minority communities.”
Dr. Jackson Booth believes that partnering with community leaders is critical for understanding the needs of the community. It is through those relationships that Care Access is able to address gaps in health services, help people get information about their health, and learn about the latest advancements in clinical research.
